For over 70 years since our founding, Sanyo Metal Industry has always had a strong belief in being a specialist in cold-drawn steel bars. Each individual has used their hands and eyes to continue refining their skills and delivering high-quality products to customers. The precision that only Sanyo Metal Industry can provide is our strength.
Sanyo Metal Industry manufactures "cold-drawn steel bars" by applying various processes to steel materials. Cold-drawn steel bar is a product created by plastic processing that utilizes the property of deformation by applying force among the methods of processing metal. Cold-drawn steel is used as a shaft as it is, and is also processed into machine parts such as bolts and nuts, and is utilized in a wide range of fields such as automobiles, industrial machinery, and home appliances.
Cold-drawing is a processing method in which steel is passed through a highly precise tool called a die to reduce its cross-sectional area and change its shape and dimensions. This process creates a beautiful luster on the surface, and produces straight and highly precise cold-drawn steel bars.
Since no oxide film is formed on the surface and the surface after processing is beautiful, automatic inspection of fine defects can be quantitatively performed.
The method of drawing from a mold provides high accuracy and excellent straightness. Also, it is possible to make it harder by drawing the steel bar.
There is less material loss because there is no need to cut the steel material like in machining.
Since it can be manufactured in long lengths, it can easily respond to various needs, and small-lot production of multiple varieties is also possible.
It is possible to adjust the mechanical properties of the final product by devising the intermediate process design.
Equipped with excellent factory facilities, we can respond flexibly to small-lot production of various products ranging from JIS standard products to special large-sized shaped steel bars. We will manufacture products that satisfy our customers by making full use of our abundant know-how.
